"Paradise Interrupted"

On September 16, 2004, paradise was brutally interrupted by Hurricane Ivan as it spun by the South coast of Grand Cayman, causing massive storm surge and wind damages of over $3B.

Courtney Platt's coffee table book, "Paradise Interrupted", co-authored by Joanna Lawrence, was inspired by those lessons, visible in the images made of the evidence left after the storm. 

"Driven by a sense of the importance of the moment, I made extraordinary efforts to capture visible evidence of what happened island-wide during the days and weeks after the storm. The book is laid out as a counter-clockwise tour of the island to help you know where on the island the images were made... because so little was recognizable in the wreckage."  CP
