Reinhard Dirscherl - Photography
Reinhard Dirscherl is an award winning underwater photographer based in Munich, Germany. Armed with diving gear and underwater camera, he pursues his photographic ambitions in almost all the world’s oceans. He regularly works as freelance photographer for several international diving, nature and travel magazines. His marine wildlife images have won numerous international photo competitions including the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award.
Reinhard began photographing the amazing world of the oceans, seas and freshwater mountain lakes in 1990. His photographs span a broad spectrum of subjects from the world of nature and animals. His wildlife images are frequently published in books, calendars, posters, puzzles and in hundreds of international magazines, including GEO, BBC Wildlife, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Natur und Kosmos, Focus, Figaro, etc. He was awarded the title “Vice World Champion of Sea Underwater Photography” of the CMAS Word Championship in 1998.
